When proposals look like similar product bundles, price becomes the clearest difference. Account-specific evidence makes understanding, judgment, scope, accountability, and verification visible too.
Imagine two proposals. Both include Microsoft 365, EDR, backup, monitoring, help desk, and a security bundle. One costs $175 per user. The other costs $149.
The prospect compares price because the proposals taught the prospect that price is the clearest difference.
We created the comparison
This is not an argument that lower-priced MSPs are doing something wrong. Price belongs in the decision. The problem is a proposal that makes every other difference invisible.
Account-specific evidence changes the shape of the conversation. Show what was observed, when it was observed, which source supports it, what it cannot establish, and which business outcome the proposed work is designed to produce. Explain how the MSP will validate the condition, carry out the work, and determine whether the supported state changed.
Now the buyer can compare understanding, judgment, scope, accountability, and verification—not only product logos and a monthly number.
Price still matters after the story improves
Evidence is not a trick for avoiding commercial scrutiny. A well-prepared buyer may still choose the lower price. The point is to give the buyer a better decision than “these look the same.”
If all we give the buyer is a stack and a monthly number, we should not be surprised when they compare stacks and monthly numbers. A defensible proposal makes clear why this work, for this organization, now—and what better looks like when the work is done.
